Benefits of Synthetic Gloves Over Natural Fibre Gloves

Advanced materials and scale production technologies have greatly enhanced the widespread appeal of synthetic gloves, by providing important benefits over traditional natural materials.  Synthetic gloves provide additional features such as enhanced versatility, durability, comfort, grip, and moisture resistance compared to gloves made from natural fibres.

Synthetics are often used in the manufacture of high-performance and specialised gloves due to their greater consistency of materials specification, and the ability to more easily blend synthetics into composite layers for added strength and superior protection for the most demanding tasks.

Why Choose URSafeRite Synthetic Gloves?

Our collection of synthetic gloves is selected to provide you with the best choices for quality general purpose safety gloves to keep your hands protected, comfortable and in control across many different jobs and worksites.

With great user-friendly features like ergonomic designs, lighter weight construction, and choices of different coatings and liner materials to suit your needs, URSafeRite synthetic gloves are a must-have for your PPE kit.  Excellent protection, comfort, grip & dexterity ensure these gloves help you perform at your best.

Importantly, all gloves in the collection are manufactured to high-quality specifications and are fully tested & certified for compliance with product safety standards.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most synthetic gloves do not provide long-term protection against high temperatures.  An exception is gloves made from aramid material, or aromatic polyamide fibres, which are a classification of heat-resistant synthetic fibres that are inherently protective against high temperatures.

Synthetic gloves can provide cut resistance depending on their material composition and cut level rating when tested against cut protection glove safety standards.  Synthetic fibres such as Kevlar®, Dyneema® and high-performance polyethylene (HPPE) are used for the manufacture of engineered cut-resistant gloves.

Depending on their coating material, synthetic gloves are generally suitable for use in wet environments. This is due to their inherently better grip and moisture repellent properties, compared to gloves made from natural fibres.  Synthetic gloves are usually more comfortable to wear when working in wet environments, as they help to repel water more effectively to keep hands drier & warmer.

With proper care & storage, synthetic gloves can be expected to last for repeated use over an extended period, for example 6-12 months.  The effective lifespan of the gloves depends on the frequency and intensity of use, and the types of tasks carried out during use.  It is recommended to replace the gloves when their coating becomes worn, holed or split, or when their shape is no longer consistent.

URSafeRite can supply synthetic gloves in bulk configurations including carton lots or greater quantities depending on your requirements. Simply contact us for more details.
