Needle resistant gloves also provide cut resistance since some of the materials may be common to both types of gloves.  Many needle resistant gloves come with the highest rating of cut level protection (for example Cut F for EN388 or A9 for ANSI standard) meaning that these gloves also provide excellent cut protection.  This depends on the rated protection levels and material specifications for the gloves.
