The Southern Cross® is a Men’s 150mm lace-up Ankle Boot with a low-cut scalloped, padded collar for ease of movement. With a Scuff Cap to increase the longevity of your work boots, the Southern Cross® is a popular choice for Carpenters, Construction, Mining and Pipe Layers. These safety boots also feature a 130°C heat resistant TPU Outsole and a 200 joule safety Steel Toe Cap. The Southern Cross® has Anti-Static properties and is available in premium Water Resistant Leather Nubuck leather.

Slip & Oil Resistance
All Steel Blue footwear is designed to exceed the Slip resistance requirement in both the AS 2210.3 and EN ISO 20345. Our boots are rated as SRC which means that the footwear has been tested in laboratory conditions on both a ceramic tile floor with a Sodium Laureth Sulfate solution (SLS) and on a steel floor with Glycerine.

Anti-Static 
Prevents the build-up of static electricity within your body by dissipating it through the sole.

Water Resistant 
A treatment during the manufacturing process provides water resistance so that water is repelled from the surface.

Scuff Cap 
An abrasion resistant, streamlined toe cover that covers more of the boot.

The Materials

Nubuck Leather 
Sanded or buffed into a velvet-like finish, our premium Nubuck Leather is ethically and environmentally sourced from members of the Leather Working Group (LWG).

Baltico® Lining
A soft, non-abrasive, hydrophobic material that wicks perspiration away from the foot, enabling the skin to remain cool and dry. 

Ortho Rebound® Footbed
Steel Blue's patented Ortho Rebound® Footbed is uniquely designed to reduce foot fatigue. Made from high quality Polyurethane, it always retains its shape and thickness to ensure support from heel to toe, is antifungal, and the high wicking material keeps your feet cool and dry.

Poron®
Strategically placed high-tech Poron® pads are placed in the sole and under your foot's peak stress areas. Steel Blue included Poron® in their Trisole® Comfort Technology, which is ow the benchmark for safety boots.
